National Digital Library

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT).

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) Club is an online platform for conducting learning-oriented activities and evangelising NDLI. NDLI Club is an enabler of career rogression for students, job seekers, researchers and learners. These Clubs are set up in institutes to conduct events to facilitate students to develop knowledge, skill and traits beyond regular curriculum which are essential for their progression in respective professional domain.
Vision:
The NDL Club of Priyadarshini J.L College of Pharmacy, Nagpur provides a forum for students to promote culture of reading and learning using NDLI’s vast resources and to enhance their core competence, sharpen their skill & personality traits.
The Club Bye Laws :

The purpose of the Club is to foster participation of the members in regular reading and learning activity, The Club also strive to spread awareness in the community for a healthy and balanced lifestyle through its programs.

  • The Club provides “Free membership” to all the regular students of Priyadarshini J.L College of Pharmacy, Nagpur
  • The Club will have a Patron (Head of the Institution), President (Faculty/ Librarian), Secretary (Faculty/ Librarian) and Executive Member(s) (Faculty/ Student/Researcher) from the College.
  • There shall be faculty/staff advisor who shall be selected each year by the membership.
  • Regular meetings shall be held at a date, time, and place convenient to all the members.
  • The activities of the Club will be funded by the College and the sponsors if any.
  • The organization shall operate as a non-profit association and no profits may accrue to any individual within the organization.
  • Only after the approval in meeting, any activity/program will be organised by the club.
  • If any member wish to leave club, he/she can do so with prior 1 day information to the president or Vice-president of the club.
  • Any member who fails to attend 3 consecutive programs/meetings of the club without prior information is liable to lose his/her membership.
  • The action plan of the club will be prepared by the president and Vice-president of the club while, secretary will maintain record of the club events.
  • In the event of any damage occurring to the property of the club then corresponding fine will be paid by responsible member.
Expected Outcomes:

  • 1) Conducting various events like learning oriented activities, training sessions, workshops, lectures, competitions on a regular basis. An event is a learning-oriented activity conducted by NDLI Club. These events should be organized through the NDLI Club Platform and can be conducted physically say in classrooms, auditoriums. Types of events: 

    1. Local club event : conducted/managed by the club
    2. Multi-club events : Events involving multiple clubs
    3. Global events : involving all Clubs Multi-club/global events are organized by NDLI
  • 2) The events may include NDLI Lecture Series, NDLI Quiz, NDLI Story Talk, NDLI Go Fish, NDLI Film Screening, NDLI Draw, NDLI Role Play, NDLI Write On, NDLI Makerspace, NDLI Debate etc. 
  • 3) Create an environment where habit of reading and learning can thrive
  • 4) Promote NDLI

  • Every participant will get a Certificate of Participation by joining an event
  • Reward Points Students will be able to generate Certificate of Participation in PDF format from the platform
  • Access to massive academic resources in NDLI
Expected outcomes:
  • To facilitate learning among students through activities.
  • To benefit teachers, researchers, librarians, library users, professionals, differently abled users and all other lifelong learners.
  • To inculcate a zeal towards the reading the various resources available in library.
